Andy's E30M50 (24v twin cam) engine conversion


Drivetrain enhancements:

 Engine is now a M50 2.5 litre 24valve twin cam (non-VANOS).
 The head has been ported and compression ratio increased.
 Stainless steel headers modified to suit the E30, restricted by very limited space around the steering knuckle due to the right hand drive
 E30 flywheel lightened to 13lb, compared with the standard E36 at 25lbs
 E36 gearbox with E36 M3 gear shift
 Modified E30 tailshaft with large guibo
 3.25 ratio LSD, suitable for the 1:1 5th gear
 Exhaust is twin 50mm leading to a V8 cat as the x pipe back to twin hot dogs and finally a 2x.2.5inch stainless steel muffler at the rear.

 NOLATHANE rear subframe bushes and diff mount
 7.5x16 CSA wheels with 205x50x16 tyres for road
 7x15 TSW wheels with 205x60x15 for competition
 Recaro SRD drivers seat
