Andy's E36 316 compact - upgraded to S50 3.2 drivetrain

Bought with the specific intention of upgrading to a 6 cylinder this once mundane shopping trolley is now an ultimate "Q" car. All the running gear of a EVO 3.2 e36 with inclusion of EVO brakes and hubs.

For the first time in BMAE's history we have a "plug and play" conversion. The 3.2 falls in, wiring, radiator, oil cooler, extractors, intake, gearbox, tailshaft, the lot!!
The only mods were to move battery to rear and remove some brackets in engine bay

Upgrades:

Engine: S50 3.2 litre from an E36 EVO, with 350nm torque from 3200, and 320 hp.
 Gearbox: Z3 2.8 5sp(same as E36 M3 5sp)
Tailshaft: E36 Z3 2.8 front section plugged into 316 compact rear section
Differential: E30 3.45 LSD (still being prepared)
Brakes: E36 M3 EVO front hubs, rotors, calipers and mcyl
Suspension: front: Bilstein Mcoupe front struts with adjustable coilovers and 24mm sway bar linked to front struts instead of bottom arms
Suspension: rear: Bilstein sport shocks (short) with spring height adjusters and 16mm rear sway bar
 Wheels: BBS 17x8 RZ
Exhaust: fabricated 2 x 2.25 inch stainless with 200 cell metallic cats, front muffler and rear 8x14 oval muffler
Battery: relocated to boot using E36 battery cable.

For those of you who read this far: Did you spot the discrepancy?
The carbon fibre airbox was a temporary fitment for looks and sound effects only!
